Background: IMA technology roots are in the Outokumpu Group (Outokumpu Mintec Oy). On-line XRF analyzers have been made since 1975 for base metal, industrial minerals, cement, oil industry, and for laboratory use. LIF technology is developed since 2003 to measure from vehicles and conveyor belts. LIF is used for detection of the minerals and dilution controls in the mines, quarries and processes.

QuarCon on-line belt analyzer

The QuarCon technology is suitable for measuring oxides (Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, SiO2) and elements (Al to Pb) from the belt. The distance can vary during the measurement. The belt scale is connected tot the system. It is important to measure the main oxides or the elements which are produced. Also the penalty elements or oxides are interesting to be measured. QuarCon measures lumps up to 400 mm. The measuring distance is 150-300 mm. The system 400 can consist of four different probes (QuarCon or IMACON)

IMACON raw meal

IMACON raw meal or slurry application is an automatic on-line analyzer for process control. The measured elements are from Al to U. Low energy X-Ray tube is used as radiation source. The sampling systems are included in to the delivery. The raw meal control system can control the feed from the different quality silos to balance the changes in the process. The IMACON system keeps your LSF constant.

Cement concept

IMA has developed a cement concept to optimize the cement production. The system enables the stabile LSF in the kiln feed. The low quality limestone can be mixed under control to the better quality without effecting to the final cement quality. This leads to longer usage of the mines and better final quality of the products.
